Wininet takes care of offline browsing, and detects if content is available offline (cached, for instance). If not, it will try to connect (provided you have the up to date version) As Internet Explorer also takes care of certain elements of the active desktop, it might well be that a function of Nimzo GUI checks if certain things are available offline (like say registering information, but also other elements necessary for the program, like correct integration with the active desktop) If not, it could try to get the element online. It might even be something it expects to be part of your local Windows environment, can't find - and tries to gather from the Internet - maybe through the update function of windows. If it is available with a more recent version of IE, the program might well quit searching connection to the internet, as it has the resources available offline. I'm not familiar with the adaptations in the Nimzo 8 GUI so I can't tell details, I'm just guessing. Jeroen ;-}
