Dear Eriq,

I am glad that you are having so much fun. There was a certain amount of
gloating in beating the old programs on the slower machines. In the near future
we will have 6000 Mhz processors with 3200 Mhz buses and 300+ Gbyte data drives
with data transfer rates of 750,000,000 Bytes/second. Our chess programs will
be Gigabytes in length and the video cards will allow us to play chess with any
female "avatar" that we choose as we watch on our 30 inch 200 pixel/inch
monitors with 200 Hz refresh rates. And yes, we will be able to play against a
dumb sexy blonde opponent if we choose.

It will be fun starting off with a Marilyn Monroe and having the computer
progress up to a Judith Polgar opponent. The same will be available for gals who
want to start with Forest Gump and end up with Bill Gates or Gary Kasparov.

Do you think that an enterprising fellow could sell "retro" chess
program/computer combinations and actually make some money? I will have to
speak with Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn about that.

Merry Christmas

Tim Frohlick
