Fritz is not the best against humans, Deep Fritz is. Reason: Fritz does not know
to play closed positions. It was funny to watch Gambit Tiger destroy Fritz on
the King's Indian Defense, Fritz was playing Black, and when the opening moves
were over, Fritz had no clue what to do. It was supposed to continue the
kingside attack, but instead it played passively because it had no clue, and
Gambit Tiger was able to create Queenside threats, and then it switched back to
the kingside. My impression is that Gambit Tiger knows how to play closed
positions, this is based on the games which I observed. Deep Fritz is supposed
to have knowledge of how to play closed positions.

Laurence
