This year's winter tournament under the Chessbase GUI (YT) which I aptly called "Millennium Ball" has finally kicked off! 17 engines are fighting each other round robin on my AMD Duron 1000 MHz machine. Each engine gets 100 mb for hash tables and uses its own opening book, so book learning is enabled. Time settings are 120/40, 60/20, 30. No pondering. The 17 engines are: 1) Nimzo 8 Hash tables: 100 MB Book: NZ7BOOK.ctg 2) DEEP FRITZ Hash tables: 100 MB Book: f6book.ctg 3) Junior 6.0 Hash tables: 100 MB Book: j6book.ctg 4) Hiarcs X 99 Hash tables: 100 MB Book: H732book.ctg 5) Ikarus V0.18 Hash tables: 100 MB Book: Ikarus.ctg 6) ZChess 2.2 Hash tables: 100 MB Book: Ikarus.ctg 7) Yace 0.23.36 Hash tables: 100 MB Book: Ikarus.ctg 8) Goliath Light 2.0 Beta 1.6f Hash tables: 100 MB Book: Goliath.ctg 9) AnMon 5.07 Hash tables: 100 MB Book: Anmon.ctg 10) The Crazy Bishop Hash tables: 100 MB Book: TCB.ctg 11) Comet B27 Hash tables: 100 MB Book: d:\ 12) Amy 0.7 Hash tables: 100 MB Book: d:\ 13) Phalanx XXII Hash tables: 100 MB Book: Phalanx.ctg 14) Gandalf 4.32g Hash tables: 100 MB Book: d:\ 15) Gromit 3.6 Hash tables: 100 MB Book: Gromit.ctg 16) Crafty 17.14 Hash tables: 100 MB Book: Crafty.ctg 17) SOS Hash tables: 100 MB Book: SOS.ctg All games will frequently be made available for download at <www.andreas-schwartmann.de> after they have been played. The GUI uploads each game right after it's been finished. I plan to play at least 2 games a day but since I need my machine for other things too (Age of Empires, Gunman, Diablo, Drakan ...) it might occasionally happen that no games are played for a day or two. Just keep checking my website. Please bookmark <www.andreas-schwartmann.de/chess.html> if you haven't yet done so. ;-) The first games have already been played. Surprisingly Deep Fritz drew agains Gromit 3.6ß and Gandalf 4.32g won versus ZChess 2.22. Take a look, take care and have fun! Andreas
