Even though there are 8 pieces on the board it looks like the table base endings come into play. Vincent's program discovers a mate in 30 or something. Century 3 plays Kf5 at 8:42 on an Athlon 900. Most likely all programs will eventually incorporate the endgame table bases. Otherwise good and solid middlegame play may not be rewarded on those occasions were endgame bases detect the outcome of a game long before it's non-base counterpart.
