DirectX 8.0 is your best bet. Do not even TRY to let the installation program
install DirectX for you, because it won't work and might hang. Install DirectX
8.0 first, and then Chessmaster.

Currently, there are only three known Win2K-specific problems with CM8000, and
all are going to be fixed in the patch that is due out in about four weeks.
