Yes Dann, CM8000 is winboard compatible , but not fully, not all engines work. Winboard engines would not be the main competition however (excluding Crafty and Gandalf). There is also not available a universal interface that would allow all engines to play each other. I believe CM800 can play over the internet, it no longer uses MPlayer. Possibly it uses a more universal method. Couldn't the SSDF possibly with John Merlino's help figure something out?? I'm sure CM8000 would be interested in having a FRESH ranking to help its marketing! Regards, Paul
