I bought chess tiger and I do not feel betrayed. The ssdf does not say that tiger is not number 1 and the customers can get information about other tournaments. There are tournament when the tigers won(for examples chessfun's tournament). In this tournament there were 4 games between every 2 programs. I do not think that it is important for the customers if tiger is getting worse result in tournament with 40 games between every 2 programs because of some bug in the learning function. > > >>2) Steen said that Gandalf was ready for testing while Christophe requested time >>to fix a bug. > >brilliant. > >>Anyone with an ounce of commen sense can comprehend the chain of events that >>makes it possible to differentiate between the two cases. > >when their is a program commercially available, all the ssdf have to do >is to test the program. they don't have to wait for >"opinions" or "wishes" of the programmers. >the thing is there. anybody can buy it. >so they should test it. If they do not want to wait for the "wishes" of the programmers they can test chess system tal because anybody can buy it but in this case you protected the decision of the programmer not to allow them to test it.
