IMHO personality changes DO NOT affect overall strength, just playing style, which helps win some matches and lose some matches. I have CM4000,CM6000,CM8000 and have adjusted personalities till the cows come home. I have also downloaded quite a variety of personalities. When all is said and done it is difficult, if not impossible, to get a stronger than default personality in the LONG run. Hash tables with CM8000 DO make a difference at longer time controls. The best post about old CM's I've seen here is about CM6000 hash adjustments. IMHO, Paul
