There were rgcc postings about CM8K being beaten by CM5K, even with the older
version on slower hardware. I couldn't quite believe this at first, but it seems
to get acknowledged. On the other hand, aren't previous versions the first ones
a new program is tested against, to see if it has improved?

Is it possible nevertheless, that CM8K is still better than it's predecessors
against the other programs, or i.e. positionally stronger (so that matches
against older CM's are decided by pure tactics in favour for them)?

I think match results of CM8K have been posted already, unfortunately I didn't
pay enough attention. Could somebody give an overview of the results, and/or
comparision to older CM versions?
