A little bugreport I post here to avoid bad Tiger match results by people not aware of it . When Tiger is one of the selected Engines in ERT , ERT disables pondering by setting PermanentBrain=0 in ct.ini . The tricky thing is : if you start Tiger again the next time in the usual GUI , the GUI still displays Permanent Brain as enabled although it actually isn't . Only way to change it again I am aware of is by changing back the parameter in ct.ini . A casual operator might not notice this so Tiger might play many games with Permanent Brain disabled .
