Hi Richard, Yes even the new adapter that is available at Lokasoft does this,it seems to be worst for me when switching from one winboard engine to another. However if I load Gambit or Chess Tiger back in first, then load the second winboard engine,it seems ok.It is just inconvenient to have to constantly switch engines. Richard have you found that the GUI sticks or refuses to allow a manual move at random times during a game. This happens to me often, and I must go to Edit Position and state which side to move,then it seems OK. Sadly I have posted this to the Rebel Board 12/24/00 and still have heard NOTHING from Ed, Lex said check players on the Game menu. That was never the problem.I guess I just have to wait for the "patch". Sad though that at least a word has not been said to me from the Rebel team. Regards, Paul
