I couldn't disagree more !

Why should I buy a new computer only to be able to run a _chessprogram_ on it ?

I am very happy with the ones I currently own and don't have the slightest idea
why I should upgrade them : they work very well !

An SSDF running programs on some expensive "very modern" processors or
Dual-Boards would be of zero interest to me as I wouldn't have the slightest
idea how the programs later will perform on my more normal ones . This gets even
worse when I hear : "yeah , the program sucks a little on your miserable
hardware ; to see it play in a reasonable way you should run it on some Mega
Athlon ." I am happy there are still some that play very well on a P233 , too !

I also think Chessbase must have gone completely mad to only release an
extremely expensive single engine as their Christmas product that is optimized
for Dual boards : they seem to have lost their lucky thoughts ; first the "Young
Talents" , now "Deep Fritz" .

Please don't take this as an offense , it isn't intended to be at all . I simply
think some of you have lost contact to ground a little ; or maybe better : there
are others with different interests and funds, too .

Most friendly greetings.

pete
