I have been trying to set up the autoplayer between Chessbase GUI and Winboard 4.1.0 (under Win2k). BTW, I have Auto232 installed and it is functional for older programs as well as the CB GUI. This is the first time I have tried setting up Winboard232 however. I tried: winboard.exe -fcp "winboard232b" which by default uses Com1. It starts the Winboard ok (Fritz being in "wait" mode) but after 5-10 seconds my PC goes crazy (beeping and locking the O/S). I'd experiment some more, but my mistakes are proving costly (all these Win2k reboots you see...). Hopefully I am missing something simple... Yes? Thanks in advance :-) PK
