IIRC, there are some config files *.cui in Remi's download included. I'd suggest to adapt one of these to your needs. There you have to configure the number of the serial port to be used, time controls, start as master/slave, ... . At 1st sight, it had looked a bit complicated to me, but it is rather straightforward. Good luck to you , Peter Uli
