Chessbase 7 has an analysis mode in which the output is a tree. I do not know
the internal logic used to produce the tree. I conjecture that the attempt is
to achieve an output that provides some understanding. Sometimes this mode is
helpful.

This mode is activated by clicking on a button in the analysis output window and
then clicking on "tree" instead of "variation".
