White mates in 3.

I don't know who composed this problem, but it is very cool.
Underpromotion isn't required to win this, but you can't mate in 3
without doing it twice.

There are lots of studies where bishop- and rook-promotion are required.
 Knight promotion comes up sometimes in real games.

Rook promotion happens in some practical endings, in order to avoid
stalemate, while retaining enough material to mate.

There are mates in as many as 97 in the ending KNP vs KN, which I am
sure are cases where you have to underpromote to a bishop in order to
win.
