I got a Visor for my birthday last month, and bought Genius 1.2 and like it
(it's a fine opponent but a pretty weak analyst). I'm just wondering what could
be done with all that extra speed (206 MHz versus 33 MHz) and RAM (32 vs. 8 MB).
I've heard that the code base for Genius 1.2 is a 1987 non-hashtable app.
Something a lot more modern could be ported to the PocketPC, I'd think.

I also want to use the device as an MP3 player without buying a dedicated $250
add-on (like you can for the Visor), plus would like the voice recorder, Excel,
web browser, etc., all of which come standard with the iPaq. And, as a
long-time Windows developer, I might find it easier to program for the iPaq
(although I already have a full time job so probably wouldn't make the time
anyway).

By the way, I generally hate Windows and had heard awful things about earlier
versions of WinCE. But I've heard pretty good things about the latest
PocketPCs.

And, of course, I lust for the speed/resolution/sound quality/features my Visor
lacks.
