terry you have fritz6. go into the drop down tool bar labeled help. in there you will find, "register fritz". fill this out, (online). then you will receive from chessbase, a password and a "www" to the "b" patch. the download and install is standard. after install, under engine, you will see fritz6 and another choice fritz6 old. the fritz6 is fritz6a. the fritz6 old is your original fritz6. so what is fritz6b? not sure, i read here where it was available to chessbase magazine readers. dont worry about it, your fritz6a will be one of the strongest programs available today. good luck.
