When Fritz6 was first introduced a little more than a year ago, there were already a German and English version. Specs are : Fritz 6 (English Version) Date of *.eng 10/11/99 Size (kb) : 285 Fritz 6 (German Version) Date of *.eng 23/11/99 Size (kb) : 264 Then was the demo put up (as Fritz 6 Light) Spec is : Fritz 6 Light (this engine is so named; therefore no confusion) Date of *.eng 28/11/99 Size (kb) : 270 Then came the Fritz 6a upgrade (Chessbase does not call it 6a but still 6) Spec is : Fritz 6a Date of *.eng 23/1/00 Size (kb) : 283 Then the little publicised Frtiz 6b (Chessbase does not call it 6b but still 6) Spec is : Fritz 6b Date of *.eng 9/4/00 Size (kb) : 284 (Fritz 6b also has some GUI improvement like time control for friend/sparring modes) And I read in this forum last week, there is a Fritz6c in the latest Chessbase Magazine (I don't know true or not) Hope the above helps. Let me know if your *.eng is different from any mentioned above. On January 03, 2001 at 22:08:54, Terry McCracken wrote: >On January 03, 2001 at 21:14:47, K.
