I asked that very same question on ICC a few weeks ago.
The answer was : there are rare positions in which
underpromoting to a rook avoids a stalemate, and even
rarer positions where underpromotion to a bishop is
necessary, but they do exist. Don't ask me to come
up with them! Maybe Pete Kappler could... Pete?

KnightCap only considers queen and knight promotions,
and it does, ok, so it's a gamble.

If you place the queen promotion above the others
in your move list the other three promotions should
get cutoff very quickly, so I'd put 'em in.
