As an experiment try the following. Set RC3's knowledge to 500.
It has the effect of extending moves deeper, with the speed in search depth
trade-off.

I'm not saying this is a better setting but it may come closer in style to
previous Rebels - Century 1 and Rebel 10. These versions did not reach the ply
depth of RC3.

My personal favorite, for no particular reason other than being a bit more
tactically astute (but not always) is this personality:

[Pawn Value = 100]
[Knight Value = 100]
[Bishop Value = 100]
[Rook Value = 100]
[Queen Value = 100]
[King Safety = 100]
[Mobility = 100]
[Pawn Structure = 100]
[Passed Pawns = 100]
[Pins = 100]
[Bishop Pair = 100]
[Chess Knowledge = 150]
[Attractiveness = 112]
[Attacking = 108]
[Strength of Play = 100]
[Draw Contempt Factor = 0.00]
[Selective Search = 100]
[Search Technique = NORMAL]

Really not too far afield from the default which is why I like it.
