When you use the GUI books, the GUI handles the book moves. GUI books can
be used with any engine. You can also create our own GUI books. The GUI
books are prepared for learning but this is not yet implemented.

When you select engine books, the selected engine is responsible for it's
own book handling, including learning. The engine book that comes with
RT II is optimized for the Tiger engine. Christhope is working on the
engine book learning feature, a update is expected soon.
