Seems strange ! Well, I'm sure that the Shredder 5 engine can't be run as a WinBoard engine. So you'll probably need two computers and an autoplay device like the one created by Eberhard Boerger (http://amateurschach.in-trier.de/schach/download/autoplayer/boerger.htm) if it works with Shredder. That's all I know about using non-WinBoard engines on chess servers. Mogens.
