Hi all,
some of you are interested in my pgn2stat script which creates statistics
diagrams from a PGN database file. I put it on my WWW server. You can find it
here:
http://www.jakob.at/steffen/pgn2stat/
Initially this script was not made for the public. Therefore you prob. will find
some bugs or have ideas how pgn2stat could be improved. I appreciate any
feedback.
Requirements:
- perl
- gnuplot
optional:
- ppmtogif
- gif2png
The PGN database file must contain some tags in the following order:
1. White
2. Black
3. WhiteElo
4. BlackElo
The output of pgn2stat is a picture in the PBM format. Additionally you can
create PNG pictures if you have installed the necessary tools.
Here's the usage message from pgn2stat:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Usage: pgn2stat -n name -d pgn-database -p picture-file-prefix [OPTIONS]
-h show this help message
-V show version information and exit
-n name name of the player
-d pgn-database name of the pgn database file
-p picture-file-prefix prefix of the name of the graph picture file
-t file temporary gnuplot data file
-c convert the PBM picture to PNG (ppmtogif and gif2png
must be installed)
example: pgn2graph -n Hossa -d /home/hossa/pgn/blitz.pgn -p blitz -c
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Best wishes,
Steffen.
