The statement that people who like to watch computers play chess should log on and watch other games already in progress is an example of a paradoxical statement. That is to say that if every computer player took this advice it would be self defeating ( all computers would be watching!!). the only other explanation is that computers who are already playing are an exception to this..uhoh here come the exceptions....this is not a good start :)(See reductio ad absurdum) I myself rarely play computer chess on the internet. When I do it to try out a new program (like rebel tiger) and see what its strengths and weaknesses are without having to buy other programs. Then I play the program OTB at home. I ahve been doing this since the early 1980's when I used to own a chess program for my TSR 80. Ed
