Eight is nothing compared to how many versions have been made for ALL CM
platforms. That would be more like two dozen. And, actually, there have been
twelve different versions for the PC: 2000 (DOS), 2100 (DOS), 3000 (DOS and
Windows 3.X), 4000 (Windows 3.1 -- floppy and CD versions were different -- plus
Windows 95), 5000, 5500, 6000, 7000 and 8000.

Amazing is not the word for it.
