Hello Dan, 8.Bf1-a6 is in Century's book so I don't think it is a novelty. But
maybe it is a novelty of Jeroen! Q5T wants to insert 8. ..Ng8-f6 9.Qe4-a4 in
your line which would appear to make some sense:

Century's book gives 8. ..Qd8xd6 though, Century 2.0 has only been running a few
