Yes i always wonder why Johan doesn't join this tournament.

Seems he has given up active chess and only plays computerchess if
the tournament is less as 15 minutes driving from his home.

Paderborn is just 3 hours drive from here and that's with a 1.2 litres
nissan micra...

I would be amazed if Ed would ever join a non-worldchampionship.
Happily amazed that is.

The level is real good. 40 in 2 then 1 hour rest of game. Relaxed REAL
level. No near to blitz 90 0 like in dutch open. 9 round is also
very good.

there are plenty hotels in paderborn and for small prices when compared to
london. Food is great in Germany always and in the evening everyone goes
to the cafe to eat and drink a bit. Great atmosphere always.

Of course for those who can win the title there are a few nerves,
for the rest nerves are not there!

We could need some more audience, too bad that for example Dark Thought
is not joining either. I didn't see him join any tournament in paderborn
except the world champs. Also in London he didn't show up. Wonder whether
he's still attached to university and if so where he sleeps there daily...

It's good that tiger joins this tournament. Who operates it however?
Are we going to see Christophe for the first time since 1999 again?
