I have some experience in this area with Chessmaster 6000/8000, Hiarcs 7.32, and
Fritz 6. I also tried Junior 6 for awhile but didn't like it. My feeling is
that Hiarcs 7.32 would also not be a good choice because it tends to hang for a
long time calculating trivial lines. Either Chessmaster or Fritz are good if you
increase the selectivity to maximum (or more), and I favor Chessmaster 8000 but
with my fingers crossed. I'm not convinced that the kinks have been eliminated
from the latest CM engine!?
