I have a PalmIIIx, I have ChessGenius for Palm, and I have AfterBurner 2.2 (I
don't know if AfterBurner III will work correctly on your Palm).
I can safely overclock my Palm to 26MHz with no wait states, with fast
multiplexing, and preserve ticks pace (so the time does not run faster).
My Palm is between 2.2 and 2.6 times faster using this setup.
I have tried higher speeds, and it crashes (either immediately or in the long
run). So 26MHz is the higher bound for my Palm.
I think it's unrealistic to expect to reach more than 28MHz with a PalmIIIx.
Don't even think about 45MHz.
