Subject: Chess Diagrams through e-mail

Hello,
I would like to be able to send diagramed positions of games played via e-mail
to my opponents.  How is the best way to do this?  Is specific software/freeware
available.  Occasionally in this club I see that people have sent in positions
on beautiful diagrams, and that is what I would like to do via e-mail to my
chess playing opponents.
