I think it is a great idea, but you can't just shuffle them together like a deck
of cards. The SSDF list is played under a stringent set of conditions. The
other lists are played under completely different conditions.

Here is something that would be really nice:
Have real-live GM's play against the real-live SSDF programs using auto-232
connected to Winboard under the SSDF current conditions with well calibrated
machines. Make it worth the GM's while by:
1. Playing the games live over the internet for publicity
2. Paying the GM's cash money -- more for wins, less for draws, even less for
losses

Where will this money come from? I don't know -- any philanthropists out there?

Maybe the chess engine manufacturers could pool their money and create a fund
for this. It is patently unfair for Ed to have to fork out all the cash and
everyone else just watches. [An exaggeration -- the Junior team also pays
something I think... for those big matches that they play]

At one time, the SSDF actually did stuff like this. Maybe there are some really
friendly Swedish GM's that will be willing to help for a less than exhorbitant
fee, since it will add substance to what is already a world-famous Swedish
institution: the SSDF.
