I had a Cyrix 6x86-166 chip for several years in what became my son's computer, and the best thing I did was to replace the chip with a REAL Pentium 200 MMX. I remember them touting the Cyrix 6x86 series as being "Pentium-compatible", but all they were was a glorified 486.
