I do not know if it is stronger, but it *is* different based on my analysis of
one game with it.  It seems slightly slower in terms of nodes per second (more
knowledge in it?) than Fritz 6a.  Curiously though several times the newer Fritz
engine (Fritz 6e I think it's called) looked deeper in a given timeframe than
Fritz 6a did.  If the newer engine is slower in terms of nps and can (at least
sometimes) get deeper, that would suggest to me that there might be some
increased selectivity in the newer engine.

Take all of this with a grain of salt -- it's hardly anything approaching a
scientific examination of the patched engine.
