Yes I did. I really don't know what attackboards are used for and that's why I
asked. I'm using "classic" 64-bit bitboards (rotated) so I guess that I don't
need attackboards. Are they used for example in array based engines? How?

Of course. Nowadays 64-bit is the most common and when one talks about using
bitboards he means 64-bit bitboards in 99.9% of cases. But true, there are other
approaches.
