The Version from April 2000 is >called "Fritz 6a" (in the engine folder "Fritz6", before last update from Jan >9.). The "original version" from December (?) 1999 Fritz 6 (in the engine folder >"Fritz 6 Old"). It may cause therefore some troubles to use "d" for "German" >e.g. > >Helmut > >Helmut As there is another version of 09/2000 which was at least after the CB8 servicepack for F6 it would be better now and mostly in all other cases of different engine versions of the same kind to call them by date, e.g.F6_04/00 or sth like that. But...maybe this should be unnecessarily if CB (and others?) are going on now to put in the exactly V.Nr.in the ENG file like in the new one which is mentioned as Fritz 6.0.0.74 in the atttribute menu! It would be even much better if this V.Nr. would be shown in the engine window of the CB GUIs for better distinction of various versions. With friendly regards, Günther Simon
