For Gromit (for instance) one big improvement between version 3 >and version 2 is better time management. That's essentially correct, I think. Crafty, for example, front-loads its time. So does mine. However, in the case of Queen, it uses far too much time early on, leaving itself with little time in the middlegame. I believe Queen is a pretty strong program, and with a few fixes will easily surpass my program, plus a few others. Will
