I also had trouble installing the patch. I ran setup but the files were installed into the Chessbase folder, not the Fritz6 one! So duplicate files all over the place. The default install folder of setup is just plain wrong. Also, because of this, I didn't get a 'repair' option even though I had Fritz6a sp installed. Copying of all the files to their correct location didn't fix it. The GUI app was then of the correct date, but the engine wasn't. I decided to uninstall everything, delete all remnant keys from the registry, and reinstall Fritz6. After that ran setup from the patch, changing the default install folder to Fritz6 et voila ... Everything's ok now ... hope this helps someone ... Paul
