Probably not slaughtered, but i think it would be slightly weaker and would lose a long match against any of today's top programs. The really neat thing about Hitech was its custom hardware. It was much faster than the PCs they had back in those days. But it was a bit slower than a modern PC. It's software was pretty good by the standards of the time, but i don't think it was any better than Crafty or today's comercial programs. In some ways even a bit weaker. Ratings of computers are mostly meaningless, especially when you compare old ratings with new ones.
