Hello Uri,
What Chessbase fixed was the broken part of the learning by Fritz. Fritz at one
time for about 2-3 months did not learn as Black. When I played a match of
Junior vs Fritz I saw the 14 consecutive wins by Junior as white vs Fritz as
black. At that time Fritz was learning with white but not black. I told
Chessbase about it and they came out with another patch that fixed it. I have
played Fritz vs CM8K and Fritz did not repeat won games as white. As I said
above Junior played the same opening 5 consecutive times as white after winning
the first one vs CM8K. All 5 games were identical through 38 moves. At that
point Junior had a very nice advantage. So they did not act the same. Junior
seems much more agressive in using it's "learned knowledge". That's why I asked
if the SSDF is allowing duplicate games now. If they are I would sure be
interested in some statistics on games duplicated by Junior and other programs.
Jim
