Normally no, I imagine. However, one shouldn't be to gullible when it comes to
excuses from the exact same people. The example in question could easily have
been constructed in a manipulative fashion. Writing "Engine damage" in a logfile
is completely irrelevant IMO.

Something like refusal to start without optimal conditions would be more to the
point. That is, if it's possible.
