No I was talking about playing on FICS ( Later tried on ICC, same result ), in
fact, I also tried this with Comet B27, and had the same mysterious engine
failing to respond when someone tries to match it for the first time. I notice
this happens quite a bit with people using the Winboard 232 adapter when using
programs that are non-internet on their own.

I will generate a winboard debug file, and send it to Tim when I have time.
