price.  I bought my quad xeon for less than you would pay for a good
single-cpu 21264-based alpha.

No real idea but definitely not cheap.

It should be able to hit 1M nodes per sec on a single-cpu machine (21264 or
better).  multiply that by the number of processors you can afford, up to at
least 20 (which they build).
