I dont know what policy they have at the chessmaster team regarding
the security of the king not running outside the CM8 gui, but to me
it seems illogical not to make this possible, they would get much more
results against other commercial programs and they would help pave the way
for other programs to implement the same feature, and if they are worried
about people trading Engines, they could implement that the cd should be in the
cdrom drive in order to run the engine (which as i understand it will be the
case anyway with the new patch)
Dont get me wrong i love the CM products and enjoy all of their features, and
whatever new version that comes out i would buy faster than a duck on a june
buck, however i have often found myself being frustrated that i am not
able to run CM8 outside the CM8 gui, and thereby test the king against my other
favorite programs. If they at the CM8 team could come up with a way to do
the above mentioned, i would like to know if they would consider it?
