I have no patience for testsuites. To not be able to use my comp for
anything else for hours is too hard for me. So, one problem at a time :)

I feel exactly the same! Just learned here this week that I could use
doubles for counting, I myself wouldn't have thought of that ;) Think
I'm just gonna count every 8th node, that would help :)

I'd like to have a faster system (have a P2/400 now) but those monsters
are not only powerful, but also use up a lot of power (~55W for 1.2 Athlon).
That's what's holding me back, my (environment) conscience :(

Anyway, I've looked at your sources in the past (v3.19), and Chest is quite
impressive, Heiner! Keep up the good work ...
