Subject: Rebel.gif file should not be tampered with OR ELSE!!

Try as I might, I can not modify the Rebel.gif file in Rebel Century 3.0 without
causing the .clr (color) files to become unstable.  I have attempted to put a
black background on the file so that there would be less flicker but this
prevents the .clr initiation file from being retained or recalled.  When the
Rebel.gif file is eliminated Rebel Century 3.0 will not start at all.  Seems
like some kind of copy protection .

You can get rid of the roar in Chess Tiger but you can not delete the start-up
screen in RC-3.  Too bad, since most of us here at CCC like to experiment.
