Subject: IPCCC 2001 and non-participants

I am wondering why Nimzo,Junior,Tiger,Gambit Tiger, and some others are not
participating.

Due to this, will the eventual winner have doubts cast as to the strength of the
participants there, and the strength of the one not there.

In last year's WMCC tournament, Rebel Tiger, and Rebel 3.0 tied for third.
Junior was 4th I believe. Nimzo was tied for 4th as well. ( I might be a bit off
).

With these 4 programs, who were all under 1.5 points behind the winner Shredder
not attending.. where will the void be filled. last year's tournament was
fantastic as all the "big guns" as I call them were there. This year so many are
missing.

Also missing is CStal, one of my favorite programs.

Is this tournament losing some of it's lustre?
