Just to mention : nowhere in this post is anything said that claims this Russian program is stronger than Shredder . It is also obvious that the Author's native language is not English : maybe a little tolerance would be nice sometimes ... As I see it in a short private test Shredder lost 4 consecutive games by what seems to be a pattern to the observer and the author was excited and posted. I am looking forward to see this program play in a tournament ; there are not _that_ many programs that can do this trick ( and please no statistics lesson , guys :-) ) . pete
