Tinker switches to e6 at 7 ply and stays there (less than 2 seconds), but probably for not entirely correct reasons, since its pawn evaluation is rather primitive. For comparison, Crafty v17.12 on the same system switches to e6 at ply 11 after about 17 seconds (for much better reasons). Brian
